Solipblog is a pseudorandom blog about five subjects, in no particular order:

1. Seattle
2. technology
3. parenting
4. music
5. motorcycles

The name Solipblog comes from the definition of the word Solipsism, which is a noun:

The view confining reality to oneself and one's experiences

An additional definition also worth noting:

The belief that the world exists only in the mind of the individual, or that it consists solely of the individual himself and his own experiences

Why No Conversation Threads?

If you're wondering why I don't host conversations about the blog entries on this site, (which is a very reasonable question indeed), it's because so many other people are really good at that sort of thing, and so it's easier for them to do all of the design work (and other technology miscellany associated with hosted conversations).

It's pretty much that simple.

It should probably be noted that I care as much about the programming behind this blog as I do about the actual blog content (I wrote the software that publishes the entire blog, and it does a lot of neat things, like, let you publish the site in preview mode and let you go back in time to previous incarnations of the entire web site. It also does the obvious stuff like, dynamically generate all of the navs and directories).
